Get ready — the Pacific Northwest’s most anticipated whitewater event is back! The 40th Annual Upper Clackamas Whitewater Festival, affectionately known as Clack Fest, is scheduled for May 15th–17th, 2026 on the scenic waters of the Clackamas River near Estacada, Oregon.
This iconic three-day celebration is one of the longest-running whitewater festivals in the nation, drawing paddlers and river lovers from across the region to test their skills, enjoy river culture, and celebrate community on and off the water.
Clack Fest isn’t just a competition — it’s a rite of spring for whitewater enthusiasts. Whether you paddle rafts, hard-shell kayaks, inflatable kayaks, packrafts, canoes, or paddleboards, there’s something here for every skill level.
Although the complete 2026 schedule will be released closer to the festival, past lineups have included:
Downriver and slalom races for multiple craft types
Mass start competitions down classic Class III–IV rapids
Vendor village featuring gear demos and local outfitters
River safety clinics and demos
Spectator lounges for cheering on racers — bring your camp chair!
The festival takes place along the Upper Clackamas River near Carter Bridge, about a one-hour drive southeast of Portland and roughly 15 miles from Estacada along Highway 224.
Whether you’re lining up at the start gate or lounging on the riverbank taking in the action, the festival is all about good vibes and big splashes.
