Delays in rescue can turn minor incidents into life-threatening situations, especially in remote areas or challenging conditions. Choosing whether to paddle alone isn’t just a personal preference—it’s a matter of safety. By encouraging education and preparation before attempting solo trips, we reduce avoidable accidents, lessen the strain on rescue services, and strengthen a culture of responsibility within packrafting.
